Some of you may know I’m working on a commentary on Jeremiah for Zondervan in the ZECOT series (Zondervan Exegetical Commentary on the Old Testament). Here are two posts on other sites which recently came out and which may interest you:
- From Judgment to Restoration on TableTalk, 15 May 2020. This article gives the big perspective on how to read the book of Jeremiah in a Christ-centered manner. In particular I introduce the concept of totus Christus (an idea I got from Augustine), which basically says that anywhere we see the book talking about Christ, we can also see it as talking about us (the church), since we are in union with Christ.
- Seeing Christ in Jeremiah on Covenant Conversations, a Podcast done by Covenant OPC in Mansfield, Ohio, 1 May 2020. This video conversation covers a lot of key big ideas in the book.
